Afag: Heinz-Georg Geissler is the new CSO

Afag, the specialist for assembly automation, has a new Chief Sales Officer (CSO): Heinz-Georg Geissler has been entrusted with this position since January 1, succeeding Armin Doser, who left the Afag Group on March 1.

In his new position, Geissler is responsible for the entire sales area, including the optimization and expansion of sales structures. "I am looking forward to many exciting tasks and, above all, to working in my new team and with my colleagues," he emphasizes. "I am also enthusiastic about the corporate culture and goals that Afag represents. These include acting in partnership, simplicity in solving problems and the constant development and advancement of new technologies," explains the CSO. "I can really identify with that." Armin Doser, who is leaving the Afag Group at his own request, is also satisfied with the choice.

Heinz-Georg Geissler has a background in mechanical and electrical engineering and brings with him valuable experience in international sales. The 50-year-old worked at Schott Glas in the field of central automation, among others. From there, he moved on to a start-up company in the capital goods industry founded by Schott to the Japanese Mitsuboshi Diamond Industrial L.T.D, which took over the spin-off in 2005. Under the new management, he expanded the market for Japanese products with a focus on Europe and NAFTA. From 2010, he was Director Sales & Service at Jenoptik for six years and managed the global sales of laser processing machines for the solar and automotive industries. He then took over the position of Head of Sales at Bilz AG in Leonberg. Geissler has many years of intercultural management experience in the B2B sector and is also a specialist group leader in the German Association of Sales Managers. kp
