Smart manufacturing and logistics
Industry 4.0 is becoming a reality
Smart manufacturing and logistics. Digitalization and the connection between production and logistics are progressing rapidly. Value chains are becoming digital, human-robot collaboration is a reality. Automation in retail is transforming industries and habits. New products, solutions and services are also emerging as a result. SEW presents real solutions for efficiently shaping the digital transformation.
The digital transformation is one of the biggest changes of our time. The intelligent networking of production and logistics is a point that SEW-Eurodrive has also recognized as part of its Industry 4.0 activities. This is why the technology leader from Bruchsal is showcasing solutions and innovations at the Hannover Messe to enable customers to design their value chains efficiently and make Industry 4.0 processes a reality: Starting with advice on Industry 4.0, classic and smart drive technology that keeps Industry 4.0 moving, through completely new offerings for machine automation, intelligent solutions in intra- and warehouse logistics, to services covering the entire life cycle of a factory as well as individual industrial gearbox solutions. Predictive analytics and predictive maintenance for smart products or the smart factory are also available.
Extensions for Movi-C
In the field of automation technology, SEW's Movi-C modular automation system offers solutions to control and move even complex work and motion sequences consistently. There are numerous extensions for the modular system, both in terms of software and hardware, and SEW also emphasizes the consistency and intuitive operating concept of Movi-C.
Innovations for smart production and logistics can also be found in the classic segments. With the new DRN... motors with outputs of less than 0.55 kilowatts, which have been designed with the future in mind and therefore comply with future, stricter energy directives, SEW offers motors for future-proof and investment-proof systems. For special tasks, especially in food processing, SEW is presenting a major innovation in Hanover: the new XCO drive package is a surface protection for gear units and the aseptic motor of the DAS series. The IP69K protection class of the motor is suitable for daily cleaning under high pressure. The output shaft and connecting and screw plugs are made of stainless steel, as are the vent valve, the pressure equalization membrane on the terminal box and the type plate.
SEW is also on the move in the area of service and support. A variety of services along the entire system life cycle support customers and users according to their individual needs. From orientation to planning & engineering, procurement & delivery, installation & commissioning through to use and modernization. as
