The first prototypes are presented here as a trend indicator, as well as market-ready and proven measurement technology that is constantly being improved. From optical measurement technology with augmented reality features and 100% monitoring of collaborative systems to the latest computer tomographs and touch sensors and, above all, industrial image processing - Control will show what users need for their quality assurance.

Quality assurance and production are moving ever closer together. Today, testing is carried out inline and without any loss of time. Manufacturers of testing and measurement technology are also adapting to this. Increasingly, these are modular applications integrated into the store floor instead of separate and outsourced testing stations. Today, QA systems are integrated into production and must be able to withstand harsh environments and process data in rapid succession. This is where industrial image processing comes into play, which the leading trade fair will focus on intensively.

Visitors and exhibitors at the global quality event describe the industry get-together as "very important" and "of great significance", according to trade fair organizer Schall. Among other things, they appreciate the fact that an overview of the latest developments in measurement and testing technology can be obtained in a compact format within a short space of time. Control is therefore in a league of its own, as most exhibitors consider the trade fair to be the world's number one trade fair for all matters relating to the cross-sectional topic of quality assurance. Practical applicability of the modules and complete systems on offer is required in order to enter into discussions with customers, arouse interest, solve problems and ultimately generate orders. "A criterion that is fundamental for us when we put together the offer and allocate presentation areas," says project manager Fabian Krüger. The upcoming Control - International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance will take place from May 7 to 10, 2019 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Center. pb
