Successor to Karl-Heinz Birkner
Still: Thorsten Hofmann is the new Chief Financial Officer
Karl-Heinz Birkner, CFO of Still, retired on February 1, 2018 after 34 years of service with the Kion Group. He will be succeeded by Thorsten Hofmann, who previously headed Corporate Controlling at Kion in Wiesbaden.
Thorsten Hofmann was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Kion subsidiary by the Still Supervisory Board with effect from February 1, 2018 and will also assume the role of Labor Director.
Karl-Heinz Birkner has played a key role in shaping the success and profile of the Still brand and the Kion Group in numerous senior financial positions, it was reported. He had been a member of the Still Management Board since February 2016, having previously been a member between 2009 and 2011.
Thorsten Hofmann began his career at Linde in Controlling in 1991. In 1994, he moved to Linde Material Handling and held various management positions in finance and controlling in Germany and abroad. In 2013, he took over the management of group-wide controlling at the Kion Group.
