AI automation specialist reorganizes management
Generation change at Insiders Technologies
A generational change is imminent at Insiders Technologies. The company, which emerged from the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in 1998, is one of the early pioneers of applied AI in Germany and is now one of the leading providers of AI-based process automation. More than 200 employees develop solutions for over 6,000 customers. The software provider is now reorganizing its management team: From June 2026, Andree Albrecht will take over the management of the company together with Dr. h.c. Werner Weiss will take over the management of the company. Weiss will leave the management board on October 1, 2026, at which point Albrecht will assume sole responsibility.
The four-month transition phase is intended to ensure a seamless change of leadership and at the same time create space for the company's further strategic development. Insiders Technologies has been part of the Proalpha Group since September 2025.
The end of a formative era
The change marks the end of an era that is closely linked to the development of Insiders Technologies. Werner Weiss established the company in 1998 as Managing Partner from the German Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and shaped it over decades.
As one of the early players in the field of applied artificial intelligence, he succeeded in transferring research results into industrial applications. Under his leadership, Insiders developed into an internationally successful provider of AI-based process automation and one of DFKI's most successful spin-offs.
"Werner Weiss has built Insiders with exceptional innovative strength, entrepreneurial foresight and great personal commitment. His work has had a lasting impact on the company, but also on Kaiserslautern as an AI location," comments Eric Verniaut, CEO of the Proalpha Group.
Experience from the Proalpha Group
Andree Albrecht is a manager who has been familiar with the Group's structures for many years. He joined Proalpha as Sales Director in 2018 and became Managing Director of the Group company Corporate Planning in 2022.
There he was responsible for the strategic development of the company, harmonized organizational structures and accompanied customers and partners on their way to data-driven corporate management.
His experience at the interface of technology, data and business value will now be incorporated into the next development phase of Insiders. According to the company, Albrecht brings particular expertise in the areas of AI-based automation, intelligent platforms and strategic corporate development within the Proalpha Group.
Continuity and shaping the future
The coming months at Insiders Technologies will therefore stand for continuity and realignment in equal measure. Werner Weiss and Andree Albrecht will manage the company together until the end of September. The aim is to continue the current growth trajectory and further expand Insiders Technologies' position as a provider of intelligent automation and AI solutions.
Insiders Technologies employs more than 200 people at its headquarters in Kaiserslautern and has been one of the leading technology providers of intelligent process automation for more than 25 years. More than 6,000 companies from various industries rely on the company's products and services.
