2 trillion euros turnover through artificial intelligence
According to an analysis by AI consultancy Appanion Labs, 28% of economic output will be directly influenced by AI by 2030. This corresponds to a market volume of 2.04 trillion euros. The influences of AI could not be more diverse.
Artificial intelligence (AI) currently accounts for 218 billion euros in turnover, which is 3% of total economic output. The manufacturing industry accounts for the largest share of AI-supported value creation. For 2030, the AI consultancy Appanion Labs predicts that 2.04 trillion euros could be generated through AI influences. According to the company, AI will fundamentally change the economy and society, much like the internet has done over the past two decades. They believe that new business models will open up and that AI will improve the quality and efficiency of value creation processes.
Artificial intelligence is made up of various sub-areas. On the one hand, the development of new, data-based business models and the tapping of additional sales potential. On the other hand, there is also the optimization of existing value creation. Complex knowledge- and resource-intensive production processes can be improved through AI and costs can be saved through process automation. Time and costs can also be saved if decision-making processes can be automated with the support of databases. Industrial and production data are an opportunity for Germany to create a relevant location profile in the field of artificial intelligence. The challenge of tapping into our potential lies in application development and the willingness to invest and train the necessary specialists.
