Under this motto, Harting presented solutions at SPS 2023 to meet the challenges of social and technological megatrends.
The focus was on sustainability and the digital twin. The company provides the digital twin for more than 18,800 products in the form of an Asset Administration Shell. Because sustainability is not possible without the digital twin, says Harting. Using the sub-models "Digital Product Passport" and "Product Carbon Footprint", the company used the demonstrator to illustrate that the digital twin has the leverage to make the industrial world more sustainable. Harting had also set up an exemplary battery production facility and presented solutions for the energy transformation. This is because connectors are not only found directly on battery modules, but also in their production. In addition to plug-and-play products for energy distribution, solutions for the production, processing and distribution of hydrogen were also on display.
