New Conrad catalog published
There are several innovations at Conrad: Following the launch of the Conrad PRO loyalty program, the new B2B catalog is now appearing. Further offers and services for business customers are also planned. The aim is to digitize the procurement of technical requirements to a greater extent and to make processes more centralized and efficient.
"For over 100 years, Conrad has stood for technical procurement in Germany and Europe. What always remains: our claim to be the partner our customers can rely on. What has changed is how we fulfill this claim," explains Conrad CEO Ralf Bühler.
Navigation instead of nostalgia
With its new B2B catalog, Conrad Electronic is setting an example in the B2B sector: after an eight-year break, the company is publishing a new 960-page B2B catalog, reviving the familiar format. But anyone who suspects nostalgia is mistaken. The new catalog is not a step backwards, but a navigation tool for anyone who is not on the move digitally 24/7.
We live in digital times. And yet not every decision starts online. Sometimes you need an alternative entry point. One that is always ready to hand on the desk or workbench. Conrad has revived its catalog tradition for precisely these work settings, but is pursuing an innovative approach with this step: "The combination of a digital platform, structured product data, artificial intelligence and automated processes makes something completely new possible: a catalog that is not created in isolation, but is generated directly from the digital system," explains Ralf Bühler, CEO of Conrad Electronic.
Access, filter and orientation aid
Whether automation, components, tools, measurement or building technology: with more than 10 million product offerings on one platform, availability is not the problem. The challenge lies in finding your way around. What counts is structure, relevance and preselection: "That's exactly why our catalog is back. Not as a nostalgic project, but as a snapshot of the Conrad Sourcing Platform that provides orientation, serves as a filter and provides access to real-time information," Ralf Bühler continues.
Business customers can find direct links from the catalog to the digital Conrad universe at any point. Unlike previous generations, the new Conrad catalog does not become outdated on the day of printing: QR codes on every page lead to article detail pages with live prices, current availability and related products on conrad.de. The 7,200 items presented in the catalog have been deliberately chosen to represent the platform's entire range and at the same time provide quick and easy access to the complete product selection.
Conrad as a solution provider
The 960-page catalog provides comprehensive information on system connections, e-procurement solutions and Conrad's entire service portfolio. The new generation of catalogs thus also serves as a compass: it offers the overview of a book, but uses the full efficiency of the online store for the actual ordering process. "This allows us to close the gap between haptic inspiration and digital convenience. Customers can obtain information offline and then start their familiar, efficient ordering process in the digital world with just one scan," concludes Ralf Bühler.
