Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman and CEO of Deutsche Messe, is satisfied: "Hannover Messe 2025 was a powerful commitment to the future viability of industry in Germany and Europe - in close cooperation with its international partners."

More than 40% of visitors came from abroad. The most important visitor countries included China, the Netherlands, Canada, Poland, South Korea and Japan. The exhibiting companies showcased solutions for the use of AI in industry, automation and efficient energy use.

A key topic at the trade fair was the use of AI in industry. "AI has the potential to change the industry more in just a few years than the industry has changed in the entire past decade," explained Köckler. A study presented at the trade fair by the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and the consulting firm Strategy& showed that generative AI can increase profit margins in mechanical and plant engineering by up to 10.7 percentage points.

Sustainable energy solutions also played a major role. The focus was on hydrogen in particular. Around 300 companies presented their developments in the field of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies in Hall 13.

This year's partner country Canada set clear accents in the areas of AI, digitalization and renewable energies. Stéphane Dion, Special Representative for the European Union and Europe and Head of the Canadian delegation, emphasized: "The year for Canada as Partner Country of Hannover Messe 2025 was a complete success and has significantly advanced our market diversification goals." More than 500 Canadian exhibitors and delegates used the trade fair to expand their international presence.
