The acquisition includes Forward AM's materials and solutions as well as Sculpteo's service business, according to the company press release. However, all solutions and services will continue to be offered to the international customer base. With the support of BASF, this strategic acquisition is expected to improve customer support, accelerate innovation and increase market responsiveness.

"I would like to express my gratitude to BASF for their support during the MBO process. By working together, we were able to ensure that our team of experts and the innovative tools that are currently available can provide leading AM solutions to the manufacturing industry, even in times of volatility. The Forward AM team is truly passionate about shaping the future of manufacturing and all the exciting opportunities to build and grow within this innovative AM community. I look forward to the journey ahead," says Martin Back, CEO of Forward AM.

The last two years have been very successful for Forward AM. The company has achieved annual growth of 30%. This means it has grown twice as fast as the industry average. This shows that Forward AM's products and technologies are in high demand and the company plans to continue to grow and develop new products.

BASF has established itself as an independent supplier of a complete AM portfolio. The company retains control of the intellectual property and expects to be able to meet future demand and fulfill all contractual obligations without interruption.

"It's a very exciting time to be part of the AM industry. Building on excellence in materials, services and solutions, we will continue to drive innovation through our work and collaboration with our partners," says Back. "We know that the manufacturing sector is facing increasing volatility and uncertainty, creating a demand for more resilient and sustainable materials and flexible solutions. Forward AM is here to meet that demand head on."
