High-resolution 3D stereo camera systems with up to 12 megapixel sensors and an integrated projector enable new Industry 4.0 applications.

More intelligent, more efficient, easier to operate - robots are developing rapidly. Among other things, great care is required when setting them up and operating them in order to avoid cost-intensive downtimes. Robot simulation tools are increasingly being used to support this.
Order is an important building block for efficiency. The reality in production halls often looks different: Material is jumbled up in various forms on trolleys and forklifts.

The digital flow switch of the PF3A8#H series from SMC fulfills a wide range of requirements.

6505 visitors and 378 exhibitors attended the machine vision trade fair in Stuttgart.

Advanced communication at field level
Gefran is expanding its range of solutions for Industry 4.0: the new pressure sensors in the KS-I series have a digital IO-Link 1.1 output and advanced diagnostic functions. They measure pressure and temperature at a high sampling rate of 1,000 s/s. This allows them to communicate with the IO-Link master at the maximum available speed for IO-Link communication of 230.4 kBaud or COM3.

Production 4.0 is more than just a buzzword. Christian Wolf, Managing Director of Hans Turck, explains how this works in practice in an interview with Andreas Mühlbauer.
With a fully automated and flexibly expandable conveyor system for truck loading, a manufacturer of battery systems in the electric automotive industry is meeting the increasing demand.

Optimate, a start-up spun off from Trumpf, wants to give sheet metal processing more process reliability in production. The key to this is a cloud-based web app solution for the analysis and optimization of sheet metal components.
