Assa Abloy presents door solutions for fire protection, escape routes and access control

At FeuerTRUTZ 2026, Europe's trade fair and accompanying congress for preventive fire protection, Assa Abloy Sicherheitstechnik GmbH will be presenting its portfolio of door solutions for fire protection, escape routes and access control on June 24 and 25 in Nuremberg in Hall 4A, Stand 419. Mechanical and electromechanical locking systems, door closers and electronic locking and access control systems for building construction will be on display.

The trade fair presentation will focus on solutions that combine requirements from the areas of security, fire protection, accessibility and ease of use. These include the "Solution Locks" lock range with tilt latch technology, free swing door closers for fire and smoke protection doors, components for escape and rescue routes and the "CLIQ" and "Aperio" electronic locking and access control systems.

Locks with tilt latch technology

With the "Solution Locks" lock line, Assa Abloy presents a revised program of solid leaf locks. The spectrum ranges from basic locks through panic and self-locking security locks to mechatronic high-security locks. The integrated tilt latch compensates for preloads on the door leaf of up to 1 kN. This means that lever handles and cylinders can be operated without increased effort, even on tightly sealed doors.

Free swing door closer for fire and smoke protection doors

For fire and smoke protection doors, the company is presenting free swing door closers that allow the door to move almost without resistance once activated. The doors can be used conveniently during normal operation, while they close automatically in the event of a fire or power failure. The solution is aimed at public buildings, health and care facilities, schools and high-traffic areas, among others.

Escape route technology with high preload absorption

Assa Abloy is presenting the 352M escape door lock in the escape and rescue route sector. The locking device, which is approved in accordance with EltVTR and EN 13637, achieves a preload of up to 5 kN and is therefore, according to the company, the most powerful electric strike in the current portfolio. Instead of a conventional electric strike latch, a prism-shaped bolt is used. If there is no longer any current on the closed bolt, the door can be opened with just a little pressure thanks to the special geometry of the bolt.

A security door closer with integrated escape route locking is also on display. With this solution, the locking mechanism is integrated into the door closer so that no separate locking mechanism is required on the door leaf. As existing DIN drill holes are used and no wiring of the door leaf is required, the system is also suitable for retrofitting to fire doors.

Electric bolt for swing and double-action doors

With the 842-SA1 electric bolt, Assa Abloy is presenting an electromechanical auxiliary locking system for swing and double-action doors. The system offers a break-open resistance of 10 kN, unlocks with a preload of up to 1 kN and also locks with a counter pressure of up to 200 N. An integrated LED display provides information on the locking status and supports fault diagnosis. The operating mode working current or closed-circuit current can be selected using a DIP switch. Thanks to the unchanged external dimensions, it should be possible to replace the previous model in many cases without major effort. Thanks to protection class IP53, it can also be used in entrance areas and on external doors.

Electronic locking and access control

In the area of access control, Assa Abloy is presenting the "CLIQ" and "Aperio" systems. The electronic locking system "eCLIQ" combines mechanical locking technology with digital management. The cylinders operate without cables or batteries; power is supplied by the battery in the key. Access rights can be limited in terms of time and space, managed centrally and revoked at short notice if a key is lost.

Aperio supplements existing access control systems with radio-based or offline-capable door components. Battery-operated cylinders, handles, fittings and locks allow additional doors to be integrated without the need for complex cabling. In conjunction with "SCALA net", the components can be managed centrally - online via radio or offline via Data on Card.
