The digitalization of industry requires seamless interaction between IT and OT. The IT/OT Integration Summit on June 24, 2026 in Augsburg will show how companies can successfully shape this integration and which technologies make the difference. The focus will be on practical strategies, modern architectures and specific applications for the networked production of tomorrow.

Markus Benndorff, Product and Innovation Manager at soffico GmbH, will provide an exciting insight into modular production in the context of industrial data rooms. In his presentation "Modular production in the context of industrial data rooms - Factory-X in practice", he will show how setup processes can be automated and made more efficient in highly varied production environments. The basis for this are interoperable data rooms, standardized digital machine descriptions based on asset administration shells and modular business applications.

Using a demonstrator from the packaging machinery industry, Benndorff will explain how production resources and software solutions can be flexibly integrated using open standards. Visitors will gain practical insights into the architecture, technical implementation and concrete benefits of modular production concepts in the Factory-X environment.
