Digitization
AI finds its way into automotive customer service
In addition to computer solutions for vehicle diagnostics, Getac now also offers AI-based digital tools that support customer contact in service operations. The automation of workshop planning, job card management and electronic vehicle inspections is made easier. The AI-supported bumper technology helps with quick credit decisions and maximizes sales opportunities in customer service.
Digitalization in the automotive sector is progressing. Getac has announced the Bumper-Getac software integration. The merger with Bumper provides customers with easy access to digital payment solutions such as PayLater, PayNow or PayByBank transactions for vehicle maintenance and repair. Bumper, a FinTech payment service provider in the automotive sector, specializes in innovative payment solutions. Through its cooperation with around 4,500 dealerships in Germany, the UK, Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands, as well as further expansion plans, Bumper has developed into a well-known provider within the payment technology sector.
Enabling fast and smooth transactions
As the average age of motor vehicles continues to rise, customers are faced with increasing repair costs. PayLater makes it easier to split these costs into interest-free monthly installments. In addition, Getac's latest software integration of PayNow and PayByBank technology enables fast, frictionless transactions and saves merchants card fees.
In parallel to the Bumper cooperation, Getac continues to develop and initiate cutting-edge technologies to support automotive after-sales service users. This includes the launch of integrated customer video calls, voice control and voice command functions together with Getac's dynamic online service booking platform and electronic vehicle health check. Every Getac solution is designed to make it easy for users to achieve their goals thanks to effectively digitized customer service.
Successful cooperation improves customer service package
Russell Younghusband, Global Automotive Director at Getac, said: "I'm delighted to be working so closely with the great Bumper team. We at Getac have looked closely at the static booking systems and vehicle check tools previously available on the market and have now set new standards with our digital customer service package, with AI-powered control tools, voice and live video capabilities. Bumper's new digital payment options complement and enhance this package, helping vehicle manufacturers and dealers alike to provide a first-class experience for each of their customers."
Bumper co-founder and CCO Jack Allman promises: "Our innovative payment solutions can be real game changers for car dealerships and offer customers simple and secure access to our payment options."
