Fruitcore Robotics: Software update horstFX
Fruitcore Robotics is rolling out a new software update for its Horst industrial robots. The update now enables users to program complex paths intuitively in the graphical user interface of the horstFX control software. The software update has been nominated for the Robotics category.
The function, which was previously limited to textual programming, significantly reduces set-up times for many industrial processes. The new "Complex Paths in Graphical Programming" feature makes the automation of path-controlled processes, such as those found in applications like gluing, painting, assembly and joining, easier and faster than ever before. By simply navigating the graphical user interface, the user can intuitively program any complex path, be it a path or curved movement or a contour, in just a few minutes. This time saving enables the entire application to be set up within a few hours - even for users without coding knowledge or special expert knowledge.
"Complex paths in graphical programming" not only improves the user-friendliness of automation with Fruitcore Robotics' digital robots, but also offers advantages in terms of process reliability. Running processes with complex movements can now be better visualized, which facilitates process monitoring and speeds up error detection and correction. This leads to noticeably higher system availability. The function serves as an effective tool for collision avoidance. Instead of laboriously teaching in a large number of support points to avoid an obstacle, a complex path can be defined that avoids obstacles. This increases process reliability and saves the user a lot of valuable time in demanding programming environments.
In addition to the main function "Complex paths in graphical programming", the horstFX release brings further new functions. These include "storable variables", calling graphical functions from textual programs and commands for easier work with sockets. "Storable variables", for example, help users to make their systems more reliable by saving the status of programs even when the system is paused.
The software update is nominated for Category 3, Robotics.
