"2018 was another good financial year for us, generating a global turnover of 916 million euros," emphasizes managing owner Hans Beckhoff. "The company's steady growth naturally goes hand in hand with an increase in capacity in all departments, both in terms of buildings and the number of employees. We currently employ 4,300 people worldwide." In 2018, the production area was expanded by 40,000 square meters through new buildings and the purchase of additional buildings. These areas are now to be gradually put into operation.

Global expansion strategy

Beckhoff is pursuing an expansion strategy and is continuously investing in the expansion of its global sales network. "Our goal is to grow by 15 percent every year," explains the company owner. The existing sales organization has been expanded in many countries by establishing new branches, but also by increasing the number of staff at existing locations. "Our new branch in Taiwan has now started operations, we have founded Beckhoff Mexico and in the first half of the year we will take over our previous Korean distributor and transform it into Beckhoff South Korea," adds Hans Beckhoff.

On April 1, 2019, Beckhoff also acquired ADL Embedded Solutions, headquartered in Siegen, Germany. ADL specializes in deep embedded applications based on motherboards and specially adapted peripherals. Industrial motherboards from Beckhoff have been the basis for many years. This cooperation is now being further developed in the takeover of ADL by Beckhoff.
