LogiMat 2025: Universal Robots and MiR
Technologies for optimizing logistics processes
Universal Robots and MiR will not only be presenting their latest innovations, but also showcasing cooperation projects with Siemens and other partners. MiR will also be showcasing a new product that enables seamless interoperability and more flexibility for customers.
Universal Robots (UR), the world's leading supplier of collaborative robots (cobots), and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR), manufacturer of autonomous mobile robots (AMR), will be presenting their latest developments in automation at a joint stand at LogiMAT 2025 in Stuttgart. From 11 to 13 March, visitors will be able to experience 150 m² of innovative technologies that have been specially designed to optimize intralogistics processes.
A highlight at the stand will be the seamless interaction of the MiR1200 Pallet Jack and MiR1350 with the new UR20 palletizing station. Visitors will be able to see the UR20 robot stacking parcels on pallets while MiR's AMRs ensure the seamless flow of materials between different locations. This solution is ideal for palletizing and intralogistics tasks. With a load capacity of 25 kg, the UR20 belongs to the latest, significantly more powerful generation of cobots and, despite its load capacity, offers great flexibility, compactness and a high level of user-friendliness.
Fernando Fandiño Oliver, EMEA Sales Director at MiR, says: "The logistics industry is already highly automated, but the demand for robotic solutions continues to grow. We at MiR are therefore delighted to be able to present our latest development to the global public for the first time at LogiMAT."
Alexander Waschbuesch, Vice President Sales EMEA, Universal Robots, adds: "Cobots are perfectly tailored to the needs of the logistics sector, as they can increase productivity and relieve people of tedious tasks. This applies in particular to palletizing and picking goods. Here, processes can be accelerated and made more precise. We are delighted to be working with MiR and our partners at LogiMAT to present our latest solutions and give visitors the opportunity to try out cobot applications for themselves.
Automated order picking with Siemens and Cellgo
Assembling and palletizing goods for customer orders is an everyday task in the logistics industry and is usually labour-intensive for employees. Cobots can provide support here and at the same time compensate for a possible labor shortage. UR is demonstrating this together with its partners Siemens and Cellgo. Visitors can experience the use of a new type of automated storage and retrieval machine (AS/RS): Robots move cartons in a rack and place them in different positions as required. At the same time, a UR robot will demonstrate precise picking from bins using Siemens' Simatic Robot Pick AI software - a vision software for robot solutions based on machine learning. This solution shows the possibilities of intelligent robotics in warehouse logistics.
UR and MiR will also be presenting:
- The extended functionality of the MiR1200 Pallet Jack. This innovation enables flexible handling of pallets at different height levels.
- The mobile Cobot MC250, which also facilitates internal logistics processes.
- The latest PolyScope X software platform from UR. With its intuitive user interface, PolyScope X supports rapid familiarization and thus improves both user-friendliness and efficiency. The platform also offers advanced programming functions for more complex automation tasks. Interested parties can try out the software in interactive hands-on sessions.
