Interpack 2029: New Date in June and a Shorter Event Duration

Interpack is changing its dates: The next edition of the world’s leading trade fair for processing and packaging will take place from June 10 to 15, 2029—marking the first time it will be held in early summer. The structure of the trade show is also changing—instead of the previous schedule, Interpack will now run for six days, from Sunday through Friday.

By rescheduling the event, Messe Düsseldorf aims to further adapt the event format to the industry’s needs. Leading international trade shows are increasingly faced with the challenge of offering exhibitors and trade visitors efficient platforms that provide significant added value for business contacts. The new schedule and daily structure are designed to meet this need.

“Interpack is the most important platform in its industry. Building on this position, we are consistently developing it further,” explains Thomas Dohse, Director of Interpack. The foundation for this is the requirements and expectations of exhibitors and visitors, with the aim of supporting the trade show’s success in an even more targeted manner in the future. Adjusting the event date is merely the first visible step in this process. Further innovations are already in the works.

The decision was preceded by discussions with exhibiting companies as well as consultations with the Interpack Advisory Board and international industry associations. The new structure addresses the frequently expressed desire for a more compact trade show schedule. The focus is on more efficient use of trade show time and high-quality business contacts. With the new schedule running from Sunday through Friday, Interpack aims to combine its international reach with an even more efficient trade show organization for exhibitors and trade visitors.
