They have M12 connections and have been specially developed for use in railroads. Thanks to redundant input voltage and an optional bypass function, the switches guarantee the function of the network even under harsh environmental conditions. In the event of a power failure, the switch transfers the data to the next network node for uninterrupted network performance.

In addition, the switches offer several options for the input voltage as well as PoE to transmit data and power via the twisted pair cable for Ethernet. Depending on the version, the devices have between five and eight ports and support data rates of up to 1 Gbit/s. TE Connectivity was also represented at this year's SPS IPC Drives.
