Charging systems for logistics solutions
Intelligent battery with near-field communication
At Logimat, Ansmann will be presenting new battery and universal charging systems for use in driverless transport systems, mobile platforms and vehicles of all kinds, as well as intelligent battery systems with an integrated Bluetooth near-field communication solution as standard.
Intelligent logistics solutions and Industry 4.0 are increasing the demand for wireless, efficient and networkable rechargeable energy storage systems with different requirement profiles. The new, housing-less battery core pack with a nominal voltage of 48 volts and up to 1,479 watt hours of power per pack from Ansmann is suitable for integration into driverless transport systems and mobile platforms where individual form is of crucial importance. If the focus is on easy interchangeability of the packs, Ansmann now supports its customers in the optimum configuration of their green pack system with a standardized, easily transportable housing.
Intelligent battery with near-field communication
Ansmann is bringing its "Intelligent Battery" systems into the field for networking and monitoring rechargeable, mobile battery systems for logistics vehicles and systems. Using the Bluetooth communication interfaces integrated as standard, the intelligent battery system reports any system data from its battery pack(s) to a fixed or mobile third-party device via Bluetooth. In the basic version of the app, the remaining power, number of charging cycles and battery wear are monitored and reported remotely. Further functions are integrated according to customer requirements. The communication module is only a few millimetres in size and can also be retrofitted to existing battery solutions.

Robust LiFePO4 systems
The lithium iron phosphate battery is a particularly robust lithium-ion technology. The lithium cobalt oxide cathode is replaced by a lithium iron phosphate cathode (LiFePO4 cathode) in the exhibit presented here, which consists of a battery and matching charging technology. The advantages are particularly evident in small vehicles and devices where particular robustness and very high cycle stability are required. These include particularly short charging times, high discharge currents, low risk of overheating in the event of damage and a power density of up to 3,000 watts per kilogram. Li-Fe batteries such as the lithium iron phosphate packs presented here with a battery voltage of 3.3 volts are recommended for new developments of robust mobile tools and machines.
When it comes to charging technology for logistics systems, Ansmann is presenting its universal 300-watt high-speed and high-power charger with individually adjustable charging voltage and charging current of up to ten amps for all mobile applications in warehousing and logistics. Any transport vehicles, logistics transport systems and even two-wheeled vehicles can be charged quickly and efficiently.as
