Key advanced features include the ability to visualize a completely different category of gases, including sulfur hexafluoride, ammonia and ethylene. In addition, the GF77 series offers IR high temperature measurement ranges and higher temperature measurement accuracy. Optional add-ons for Flir Thermal Studio Pro and Flir Route Creator optimize inspection workflow and reporting.

The GF77 can do more than just visualize gases, as this ergonomic and user-friendly camera is also calibrated for IR temperature measurements. This means that inspection experts can use it as part of preventive maintenance programs, for example to determine tank levels or to detect electrical and mechanical problems without having to change the lens.

Two lens types are available for the GF77 Gas-Find IR series: for shorter wavelengths (Low Range - LR) and for longer wavelengths (High Range - HR) with a standard field of view of 25 degrees or as a telephoto lens with a field of view of six degrees. The LR lens is equipped with a filter for the wavelength range of 7.0 - 8.5 micrometers to make methane, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, R-134a and R-152a visible. The HR objective filters the wavelength range of 9.5 - 12 micrometers to visualize sulphur hexafluoride, ammonia and ethylene.

Users choose the lens combination that meets their requirements: the GF77-LR, the GF77-HR or the GF77 with LR and HR lens. Each lens is calibrated to a specific camera housing in order to visualize the gases to be detected and to measure temperatures precisely.

The camera series now has a wider temperature detection range from minus 20 to 500 degrees Celsius with a higher measurement accuracy of plus/minus three degrees Celsius compared to the previous plus/minus five degrees Celsius within the entire temperature measurement range. With the optional integrated Route Creator inspection route function, users can simplify inspections by planning an inspection route in advance, which includes a list of all equipment and components that need to be inspected at each location.
