Focus on application and technology transfer
New specialist event for precision technology in Switzerland
A new specialist event for innovation and technology transfer in precision engineering, preXcon, is fleshing out its program. It is based on six key topics and eleven clearly structured sessions that allow trade visitors to make a targeted selection according to their interests.
The event organized by Olma Messen St.Gallen AG
combines a trade exhibition (marketplace) and a trade congress (content hub) and thus positions itself at the interface between research and industrial application in the high-tech industry.
Six technology fields as a structure
The content is divided into six key areas: Optics, Photonics and Electronics, Precision Manufacturing and Metrology, Production Management, Digital Transformation and AI, Innovation and Growth and Industrial Additive Manufacturing. They were developed together with partners from research and industry and form the programmatic framework of the event.
Eleven sessions as in-depth formats
Eleven sessions will be offered within these fields, addressing specific issues from research and industry. Each session begins in the Content Hub with a technical classification and is then supplemented in the Marketplace with practical examples from industry. The planned topics include "Photonics4Fabrication", "Precision Manufacturing and Measurement" and "New Space Economy".
"The combination of specialist congress and exhibition makes it possible to delve deeper into specific content and engage directly with industrial practice," says Manuel Zoller, Exhibition Director of preXcon.
Program individually selectable
Visitors can choose one session per day in the morning and one in the afternoon and thus tailor their program thematically. "preXcon creates the space in which ideas become concrete solutions for the high-tech industry," says Prof. Dr. Knut Siercks, OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule.
The event is being organized in collaboration with OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule, CSEM - Centre Suisse d'Électronique et de Microtechnique SA, RhySearch - Forschungs- und Innovationszentrum Rheintal and Switzerland Innovation Park Ost.
The premiere of preXcon will take place in St. Gallen from November 3 to 5, 2026. Tickets are already available.
