Of particular interest to designers and manufacturers of electrical and electronic products in the automotive, consumer electronics and medical markets, ultrasonic metal welding offers solutions to a range of industrial challenges.

Ultrasonic welding can be monitored via time, energy, power and height limits to ensure good process control. The elimination of consumables such as solder, flux, crimp connectors and brazing materials makes ultrasonic a cost-effective and environmentally friendly welding process. Typical welding cycles are less than 0.5 s and the process requires only a fraction of the energy of resistance welding. The shearing effect of the ultrasonic process means that in most cases there is no need to strip enameled wire or pre-clean components.
