Accenture takes over Salt Solutions
Accenture has acquired the technology consultant Salt Solutions. Organizationally, the company will be integrated into Accenture Industry X.
With Industry X, the management and strategy consultant Accenture supports its clients in optimizing their production facilities and plants. The acquisition of technology consultant Salt Solutions is intended to strengthen and further expand the business in the areas of digital manufacturing, operations and supply chains. One declared goal is to build cloud-based IIoT platforms.
Nigel Stacey, Global Head of Industry X at Accenture, comments on the acquisition: "We want to build cloud-based industrial IoT platforms for our clients that also capture previously unused information from the manufacturing sector. This will enable us to generate strategic insights that support decision-making processes in real time and over the long term. Salt Solutions' unique expertise in manufacturing and logistics will be a key factor for these platforms."
Salt Solutions implements and maintains IT systems for logistics, manufacturing and operations for leading companies in the German automotive, processing, consumer goods and chemical industries.
