First things first: wire mesh is not a wire mesh fence! A comparison with textile mesh is more suitable for illustration, as its weaving process is very similar to the production process of wire mesh. The dimensions range from coarse-meshed wire cloth - hence the association with fences - to very fine filter cloths, which represent a serious competitor to filter cloths made of plastic, cotton or cellulose in medical technology.
