Energy efficiency and sustainability in the smallest of spaces
With the StingR ultra-fine filter system, Lehmann-UMT has created a solution for the energy-efficient and precise treatment of fluids during tool grinding for extended tool life and high tool quality.
The process is used for oil and emulsion as well as for aqueous solutions when machining HSS, ceramics, carbides and mixed machining. The pneumatic automatic backflushing ensures a longer service life and reduced wear. The system works without filter aids, so there are no costs for consumables and the disposal volume is significantly reduced.
It is possible to integrate the StingR into existing structures as a stand-alone system or as a large-scale industrial central system. Combined with other filters, such as a magnetic filter or an endless suction belt filter for separating large dirt loads, multi-stage filter processes can be implemented. The removed dirt is fed into the recycling process. The StingR also has a compact design and good maintenance accessibility. The sensor technology and the implementation of Industry 4.0 enable the monitoring of highly complex systems.
In addition to the presentation at the Lehmann-UMT D09 stand in Hall 5, the StingR will also be on show in operation as part of the "Toolgrinder Challenge 2023". The ultra-fine filter system will be used as a stand-alone unit on the processing machine.
