Intec: Handling and robot technology
Tool changer and gripper for many applications
The Zimmer Group is presenting four new products from the fields of handling and robot technology at this year's Intec.
For example, there are new additions in the area of linear technology: the new compact axis from the AC series in sizes 40 and 60 is designed to impress with its compact and interference-free design. It combines precise linear movements with a powerful ball screw drive, which is driven by a BLDC motor. The AC series is particularly suitable for confined spaces and still enables fast, powerful movements.
With the new long-stroke axes from the AMB and AMS series, the manufacturer aims to set new standards in automation technology. While the long-stroke axis with toothed belt drive from the AMB series stands out due to its high dynamics and speed, the long-stroke axis with spindle drive from the AMS series is characterized by maximum precision and high feed forces.
New tool changer series are also coming to Leipzig. The WPR5000 series with a flat design can carry high payloads of more than 500 kg, depending on the size and application. The tool changer has been specially developed for demanding applications that require high repeat accuracy and maximum service life. The WMR2000 aseptic tool changer is particularly suitable for highly sensitive, hygienic laboratory environments and clean rooms. The tool changer meets the requirements of GMP and ISO 14644 and uses FDA-compliant materials.
With a PET housing and sealed contacts, it is particularly easy to clean and resistant to hydrogen peroxide. The permanent electromagnet in NC design also ensures a secure hold even when de-energized. Zimmer's other highlights at the trade fair include the flexible ZiMo robot cell and the Miles driverless transport system.
