Low effort when connecting end devices, simple installation with just one tool and a high data transmission rate: the Etherline PN CAT.6A Fast Connect from Lapp combines these important features.

Among other things, Hy-Line presented galvanically isolated, bidirectional interface modules at Embedded World.

Three questions for... Christian Wolf
IT and software are becoming increasingly important in automation technology. Mr. Wolf, Turck has developed from a sensor manufacturer to a complete automation partner. What is the current focus?

Turck has added a variant for serial interfaces to its TBEN-S ultra-compact I/O module family. The TBEN-S-2COM connects devices with RS232 or RS485 interfaces directly in the field to controllers with the Profinet, Ethernet/IP or Profinet protocols.
The Lapp Group's turnover increased by 13.9% to EUR 1,026.8 million in the 2016/17 financial year. This is the first time that the global market leader for integrated cable and connection technology solutions has achieved sales of more than one billion euros in a single year.

The new Profinet cable from Lapp combines a high data transmission rate, minimal effort when connecting end devices and simple installation with just one tool.

The new price/performance class from Beckhoff, which started with seven-inch devices, has been expanded to include three built-in panels with a 10.1-inch widescreen display.

The newly developed VMT9000 series from ADS-Tec is compact and can be used even in confined spaces. The operating devices are available in 4:3 format and, for the first time, in widescreen format.
With IoT, Industry 4.0 and the smart factory, data (big data) is exploding. Storage, status monitoring and analysis with high computing power are the preferred means of economically managing this flood in real time.
