The UR+ application kits from Universal Robots were also awarded second place in the robotics category by the jury. These kits simplify the integration of common cobot applications and facilitate access to automation.
These are application-specific software and hardware packages that enable cobot users to implement the most popular applications in no time at all. With more than 200 certified products, UR+ is the most comprehensive platform of its kind on the market for collaborative robots. In addition to individual peripheral devices, users can find complete sets that already contain all the components for the desired application. The packages are tailored to demand and are therefore available worldwide or in selected regions or countries. They are created by market-leading UR+ partners. With the kits, users can control all components of an application via the teach pendant of the cobot used.
This means that even people without programming knowledge can quickly learn how to use the respective robotic solution. At the launch of the application kits in February 2020, 20 different packages were already available - for finishing, quality inspection, assembly, machine loading, material removal, dispensing and material handling. pb
