Vertical machining centers

Andrea Gillhuber,

New name: HPM becomes Nmill

Until now, the Chemnitz-based company Niles-Simmons has distributed the HPM (High Performance Milling) vertical machining centers via the Swiss company Mikron, now GF Machining Solutions.

In future, the HPM1150, HPM1350 and HPM1850 sizes will be manufactured by GF at the Swiss plant under the name "Mill P". Niles-Simmons, on the other hand, will pursue its own marketing channels with the machines developed and manufactured in Chemnitz.

For this reason, the Chemnitz-based company has revised the small size and launched it under the name Nmill 1400. New features include a control upgrade to TNC640 and an optional turning function. In the HASK63 version, the machining center has been equipped with a 1,000 mm rotary table with direct drive.
