Logimat 2025
New battery energy storage system and chargers
EnerSys, provider of energy storage solutions for industrial applications, will be giving a preview of its new NexSys BESS energy storage system and Synova Sync charger concepts at Logimat.
These technologies will help companies to better manage their energy supply and costs and thus improve operational reliability. Energy from time- and state-dependent renewable sources such as wind and solar will be more efficient to store and use. The NexSys BESS energy storage system will also enable companies to better manage their energy costs through "peak shaving" from the traditional power grid by storing energy during times of lower electricity tariffs and using it during times of higher tariffs.
The Synova-Sync charger offers high efficiency and charging performance and has bi-directional data and energy flow capabilities that allow operations to pull energy back from appliances to a centralized storage facility when needed. Both the NexSys BESS energy storage system and the Synova Sync charger also offer cloud-based data reporting for improved energy and operational management.
"These new products improve energy management for our customers, especially those facing potential shortages and high peak load tariffs. Whether they draw from the grid or renewable energy sources such as solar and wind, our new energy storage solutions allow customers to more directly control their energy supply and costs, which is becoming increasingly important in our market," says Kerry Philips, vice president of global product management for motive power at EnerSys.
These next-generation products are designed to help companies minimize their utility costs while stabilizing energy for their operations to make them more resilient. Combined, the NexSys BESS energy storage system and Synova Sync charger provide a reliable foundation for on-site microgrids that efficiently store, manage and utilize energy from the traditional grid and various on-site generation sources.
"As the world transitions to a new energy paradigm, these innovations significantly expand the operational benefits of our current product portfolio, enabling customers to better control their energy costs and leverage their investments for on-site power generation projects," said Christina Warn, Global Director of Marketing for Motive Power at EnerSys. "Combined with our fleet data simulation capabilities and our unparalleled portfolio of battery technologies, these new offerings help customers truly optimize and manage energy across their operations."
The new NexSys BESS energy storage system and the next-generation Synova Sync charger will be shown to visitors at the EnerSys stand, along with the portfolio of turnkey power supply solutions.
