WEKA BUSINESS MEDIEN GmbH,

Family sponsorship continues

What could be better than children's eyes shining at Christmas? That's why we're donating to the Munich Outpatient Children's Hospice Foundation again this year.

Eva-Maria Büttner from the Munich Outpatient Children's Hospice is delighted to receive 6,500 euros. The cheque was presented by (from left) Dirk Waasen (Publishing Director WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING), Peter Eberhard (Publishing Director WEKA BUSINESS MEDIEN) and Matthäus Hose (Divisional Managing Director / CEO WEKA BUSINESS COMMUNICATION). © WEKA FACHMEDIEN GmbH

True to this motto "Don't fill life with days - fill the days with life", the AKM has been looking after families with unborn babies, newborns, infants, children and adolescents, as well as young adults with a life-threatening or life-shortening illness and seriously ill parents with minors in the household since 2004.

The Stiftung Ambulanten Kinderhospitz München, or AKM for short, is there for the entire family from the diagnosis of the illness until after death. The team is supported in this work by full-time doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers and over 180 volunteers in the areas of crisis intervention, family and grief counseling. The aim is to be a firm support for families during this difficult time and to provide moments of safety, security and normality.

The AKM Foundation has to finance itself almost entirely from donations. Therefore: every penny counts! The foundation relies on donations large and small to provide accommodation and care for the children and their families. Only with many helping hands and generous donors can the AKM maintain and expand its services for the affected families.

We have been actively supporting the foundation as a family sponsor for several years now. WEKA FACHMEDIEN, WEKA BUSINESS MEDIEN and WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING have also taken on a family sponsorship for 2021 with a check for 6,500 euros. This will provide for a family for a whole year.
