Mann+Hummel takes over helsa Functional Coating
Mann+Hummel expands its product portfolio in the field of elastomer and activated carbon technology for special industrial applications and acquires helsa Functional Coating.
"The acquisition enables Mann+Hummel to position itself as a technology leader in this growth market and further align the company for the future," says Emese Weissenbacher, Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board and Managing Director Finance. The Functional Coating division of the helsa Group, which was founded in 1947, has a similar corporate culture thanks to its affiliation with a family business that also has a long history. "We are very much looking forward to working with our new colleagues."
"For us as a niche provider of intelligent premium solutions for molecular air filtration, the acquisition holds a lot of potential," said Norbert Gregor, Managing Director of helsa Functional Coating and future Vice President & Managing Director Molecular Filtration at Mann+Hummel. Thanks to the infrastructure, the growth course can now be accelerated and large-scale projects for the reduction of molecular emissions worldwide can be increasingly managed. Neither company disclosed the purchase price.
