Mann + Hummel takes over Hardy Filtration
Mann + Hummel has announced the completion of the acquisition of Canadian air filtration company Hardy Filtration. This expands the global presence and production capacity of Tri-Dim Filter Corporation, which the filtration specialist acquired in 2018.
Hardy Filtration, founded in 1993, expands Mann + Hummel'srange of innovative air filtration solutions. The company has been developing, manufacturing and marketing a wide range of filtration products for various applications, such as air filters, paint booth filters and dust extraction, for more than 25 years.
"We are committed to expanding in air and water filtration. We are pleased to welcome the Hardy team to our group, less than a year after the successful acquisition of Tri-Dim Filter Corporation," says Sean Cromie, President & General Manager of Mann + Hummel's Life Sciences & Environment business unit. "Following the acquisition of Tri-Dim in the summer of 2018, the acquisition of Hardy is a meaningful step to better serve our Canadian customers and further expand our customer base."
"The merger of Hardy with Tri-Dim Canada represents an ideal opportunity to expand our combined business across Canada, in addition to gaining additional market share," adds President & Chief Executive Officer Werner Lieberherr. "Having a local manufacturing facility and a dedicated sales team are key to meeting market needs and driving further growth in Canada. We are very excited about the merger with Hardy and the announcement of our new Canadian manufacturing center in Quebec, which will help lead our teams to joint success. French-speaking Canada is an important growth market for us. Through this acquisition, we can ensure that the region now receives sufficient attention and focus."
Headquartered in Trois Rivières, Quebec, Canada, the privately held air filtration company offers a full range of products and services for HVAC filtration, dust collection systems, compressed air treatment systems and residential filters.
The acquisition expands Tri-Dim's portfolio in Canada, adds a local production facility and provides further growth opportunities for Mann + Hummel. The company will continue to operate from its headquarters in Trois Rivières with Geneviève Hardy & Luc Girard as part of the management team. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
