Networks for innovation
Konzelmann is involved in two mobility clusters
What can sustainable mobility look like in Baden-Württemberg? What are possible innovative approaches for vehicles, charging systems and forms of mobility? Konzelmann wants to get to the bottom of these and other questions about the mobility of the future and is therefore participating as a member of the Cluster Electric Mobility South-West and the Cluster Fuel Cell BW.
The Baden-Württemberg clusters network participating companies such as Konzelmann at national and international level through delegation trips, working groups, workshops and networking opportunities. The company from Löchgau has not only been active in the plastics sector for more than 60 years, but is now also developing solutions for electromobility in the field of battery technology and emergency degassing.
"Important step for improved exchange"
"For us, membership of the Electromobility South-West and Fuel Cell BW clusters is an important step. Not only are we actively helping to shape the future of mobility in Baden-Württemberg, but we also have the opportunity to actively engage with key political decision-makers and other companies at a national and international level, thereby advancing some of our key topics such as fuel cells and battery technology and opening up new business areas," says Volker Buchmann, Business Development eMobility, about Konzelmann's membership of the clusters.
Europe-wide networking
Thanks to their more than 200 members from science and industry, the clusters claim to be among the most powerful networks in Europe. The focus is on networking as well as regular workshops, events and cluster member meetings. Thanks to the state agency e-mobil BW GmbH, which is financed by the state of Baden-Württemberg and coordinates both clusters, the services are available to all cluster members free of charge. In addition, the clusters support participating companies such as Konzelmann in applying for funding programs at regional, national and European level. They also offer small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to open up new business areas.
"As part of the clusters, we have already had the opportunity to network internationally with representatives from France, Finland, the USA and Sweden, among others, on various topics and establish contacts for new business relationships. In addition, interactive training courses such as the KIT workshop on fuel cell applications have given us valuable impetus for our own product innovations and new approaches," says Volker Buchmann. "But we are also always actively contributing our technical knowledge, developing training concepts on special topics for all partners in the clusters and we are proud to be hosting one of the cluster member meetings in 2024."
