After four days, the trade fair duo Intec and Z in Leipzig came to an end on February 8, 2019. The organizers of the Leipzig trade fair are pleased with the increase in visitor numbers. 24,400 visitors from 41 countries (2017: 24,200 visitors from 35 countries) came to find out about the latest trends in production technology in the metalworking and supplier industry. A total of 1,324 exhibitors from 31 countries (2017: 1,382 exhibitors from 30 countries) presented on an exhibition area of over 70,000 m².

"Global players as well as small and medium-sized companies demonstrated their impressive innovative strength on a further expanded exhibition area. The comprehensive range of products and services led to a strong visitor response," said a delighted Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. "The high quality of discussions and customer contacts at the trade fairs makes it clear that our trade fair duo is one of the most important industry events in Europe. Intec and Z 2019 attracted around 50 percent of decision-makers. Our trade fair combination was therefore once again a great success."

Exhibitors and visitors satisfied

In the official survey, 93 percent of Intec exhibitors and 91 percent of Z exhibitors praised the professional qualifications of the visitors. In addition, nine out of ten respondents stated that they would recommend the trade fair duo to others.

The trade fair duo is particularly important for both the East German mechanical engineering sector and the Eastern European market. "We are delighted that our trade fair alliance has also once again achieved a good reach in Eastern Europe - for example in Poland and the Czech Republic. The right topics were also set within the framework of the trade fairs, including in the specialist program. For numerous industry players from Germany and abroad, our trade fair duo has become a must-attend event," explains Dr. Deliane Träber, Business Unit Director of Leipziger Messe.

Christian Thiele, Head of Marketing at Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrik Paul Horn GmbH, agrees: "Intec is the ideal platform for our company. We address both national and international customers here. One advantage of Intec is that it attracts a large number of visitors and still provides enough time for in-depth discussions. Intec has a firm place in our trade fair calendar."
