Wire & Tube 2024 in Düsseldorf

Electrifying prospects

The market potential for electric cars is huge, driven by the need for an energy transition in mobility. A future ban on petrol or diesel-powered engines and incentive systems will lead to a redirection - in the EU and other countries, no new cars that are not emission-free may be registered from 2035.

This also gives the cable industry a clear perspective: more and higher-quality cables are needed. Trends and highlights from the wire, cable and tube industries will be presented at the Wire & Tube trade fairs in Düsseldorf from April 15 to 19.

Companies are increasingly investing in the development of new technologies. For example, charging cables, a charging connection to the battery and cables to transport the electricity to the electric motor are required. The interior cabling supplies components such as air conditioning compressors, electric heating and cooling.

The exhibitors at wire 2024 will be showing machines and systems for wire production and wire finishing, tools and auxiliary materials for process engineering, materials, glass fiber technologies, special wires and cables, fastening technology and spring production technology including end products, mesh welding machines, measuring, control, regulation and testing technology.

Tube also shows everything to do with tubes - from raw materials to tube production, tube processing technology, tube accessories, tube trade, forming technology as well as machines and systems.
