The family-owned company from Verl has completed the correction phase following the special effects of 2023. Global incoming orders rose continuously over the course of the 2025 financial year.

"2025 was a solid financial year for Beckhoff," summarizes Hans Beckhoff, founder and Managing Director of the company. "We have put the special effects of 2023 and the resulting correction in 2024 behind us."

Beckhoff assumes that the economy will return to a growth phase in many areas two years after the start of the cyclical crisis. The company has recorded a positive trend since October 2025, which continued in the first quarter of 2026.

Investments and product development

As in previous years, EUR 80 million was invested in research and development, a level that is to be maintained in 2026. The company focuses on combining information technology and automation. Newer product lines such as the MX system for cabinet-free automation are in high demand.

Current developments in the field of artificial intelligence are expected to lead to new features, tool chains and business models, which Beckhoff will be presenting at Hannover Messe 2026.

Employees and training

Beckhoff employs 5450 people worldwide, including 2000 engineers. The company is active in more than 75 countries through 23 branches in Germany and 41 international subsidiaries.

In summer 2025, 61 young people started their apprenticeship or a practice-integrated degree course in cooperation with Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences. A total of 116 trainees and 110 students are employed at the company. The range includes nine apprenticeships and four Bachelor's degree courses.

The company expects stable business development in 2026, but points to uncertainties due to the global political situation.
