Efficient drive concepts for the plastics industry
Baumüller will be presenting drive and automation technology for various areas of the plastics industry at NPE 2024.
Leading companies in the fields of film production, injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, blow molding and recycling rely on solutions from Baumüller. The drive specialist contributes to optimized and long-lasting machine use through intelligent service concepts from engineering to maintenance and machine modernization.
High-speed machines for the production of plastic packaging, for example, are equipped with compact, energy-efficient servo drive technology in combination with dynamic servo motors. The elimination of mechanical or hydraulic transmission elements through highly efficient synchronous drives also has a positive effect on the system efficiency and energy efficiency of the machine. The precision of the electric drive technology and the short restart times after set-up help to reduce material usage.
This compact drive technology is also used for the manufacture of medical products under clean room conditions. It is also possible to feed back excess energy with the drive concept. Digitalization is an important catalyst for achieving the ambitious climate targets and at the same time a good tool for efficiently exploiting the potential of drive technology with optimum resources. Also in the trade fair baggage: the simulation software Pro Simulation for an optimal design of the drive components and a servo pump solution with self-lubricating internal gearing.
