How can heavy plates and sheets be picked up, swiveled, rotated and positioned safely and ergonomically for various processes in manufacturing companies, for example in mechanical engineering, the automotive sector or the aircraft industry? Scaglia Indeva has developed the standardized vacuum gripper Vac-U-Grip for this purpose. The user deploys this powerful system for pick-and-place tasks or for order picking, for example: Depending on the application, the gripper can swivel plates and sheets by 90 degrees or pick up the components, swivel them by 90 degrees and rotate them by 90 degrees.

The highly sensitive operating handle makes upward and downward movements and the positioning of workpieces weighing up to 250 kilograms smooth, fast and precise. This is done without any great effort on the part of the operator. The operator only needs to apply the force required to lift 300 grams. Depending on the application, four standard handle sizes are available to ensure a comfortable arm and hand position for the operator at all times.

The intelligent vacuum gripper is connected to the fast manipulators in the Liftronic series. This provides operators with a sophisticated turnkey solution that relieves them of work and protects their health, while at the same time increasing productivity and thus reducing costs in the long term. The Liftronic-Easy-6, for example, enables significantly higher speeds, more precise positioning and body-friendly operation compared to chain hoists, pneumatic and electronic handling devices. The touchscreen control unit allows the user to set various operating modes intuitively and easily as required. This makes light work of moving heavy objects. The user does not need to set or program the Indeva-Liftronic to the current load, as automatic weight detection and autobalancing are already installed as standard. Thanks to its modular design and comprehensive range of accessories, the manipulator can be quickly adapted to new and changing tasks.
