Predictive maintenance with a digital twin
Cadfem presented simulation solutions for product development at the Hannover Messe together with software manufacturer Ansys and Nvidia graphics card developer PNY.
The new Ansys Discovery product family and simulation solutions for structural mechanics, fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, temperature fields, multiphysics and system simulation were presented. Cadfem also demonstrated how condition-based maintenance is supported with a digital twin and how additive manufacturing processes can be optimized with simulations. Instead of preventive maintenance - the replacement of system parts according to experience-based or averaged load data - predictive maintenance uses the actual system condition for evaluation. sw
