FPM chemical hose
Antistatic against electrical discharges
Sensitive electronic components can be negatively affected by even very weak electrostatic discharges.
In the worst case, strong discharges can even lead to fire or explosion accidents due to sparking, for example when working in explosive atmospheres. The best protective measure against this is to avoid electrostatic charging by selecting suitable, electrically conductive materials and components.
Antistatic chemical hose
Reichelt Chemietechnik therefore offers the antistatic chemical hose made of fluorocarbon rubber (FPM/FKM) and thus complements its portfolio of electrically conductive plastic products, which includes not only antistatic hoses but also electrically conductive hose connectors as well as taps and valves.
The Thomafluor FPM antistatic hose can be used in a temperature range of -15 to 200 °C as a fuel, chemical, oil or gas line as well as for filling volatile products in ATEX environments, in gas and emission measuring devices and in gas chromatographs.
Due to its high electrical conductivity, the anti-static hose is suitable for ATEX environments and explosion protection areas, for example in plant and mechanical engineering, chemical process technology or battery technology. The new FPM Antista chemical hose is available in nominal widths from 4 mm to 8 mm and can be ordered in 5 m and 10 m packaging units.
