Robur continues under the SPIE brand
Multi-technology service provider SPIE adds industrial services to its portfolio
Robur, the industrial services specialist for digital transformation and ecological change founded in Munich in 2015, will become part of SPIE, significantly strengthening SPIE's range of industrial services. Following completion of the transaction, Robur will be established as a separate division of SPIE Germany and Central Europe, which will continue to be led by Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler and his experienced management team.
"Since 2015, it has been regularly announced that companies would become part of Robur. Now we are delighted to announce the signing with SPIE. Robur will thus become part of SPIE," says Jan-Jörg Müller-Seiler, Managing Director/CEO and Managing Partner of Robur, explaining the latest development. "As an industrial services specialist, we support our customers in the digital and ecological transformation of their plants. We can only master these challenges in partnership. Since 2015, we have grown continuously, have been able to attract many specialists to Robur's vision and have developed into a top 10 industrial services specialist with our approximately 3,000 colleagues and our customers. Many thanks for that!"
The aim is to consolidate and expand its leading position as a specialist for high-quality industrial services in an increasingly digitalized and ecologically changing market. There are also development prospects for Robur colleagues.
Multitechnology service provider now also visible in industrial services
Robur is the third platform acquisition of the SPIE Group in Germany and Central Europe, which, like Robur, is pursuing a strong growth course. "Within ten years, we have built SPIE Germany & Central Europe into the leading multi-technology service provider. We are the market leader in technical facility management and a leading service provider in the energy infrastructure market, we have a strong position in building, transportation and automation technology as well as in the field of information and communication services. With Robur, we are now also becoming clearly visible in industrial services," says Markus Holzke, Managing Director/CEO of SPIE Germany and Central Europe, outlining the growth course.
Robur's broad range of services in the field of industrial services throughout the life cycle of its customers' plants is of particular interest to SPIE. Be it in wind power as an important renewable energy source in Germany and Europe or in the digitalization and automation of production processes to increase efficiency. "Florian Kopp, Jens Cremer and I founded Robur in 2015 because we wanted to redefine industrial services in Germany, Europe and the world in the face of the challenges of digital and ecological transformation. It was always clear to us that we could only realize this vision with strong partners - with our original investors, with the managers in our acquired partner companies, but above all with all our colleagues. We are proud that with SPIE we have found a group that will now continue this vision and success story of Robur under the SPIE brand," explains Daniel Beringer, Founder and Managing Partner of Robur.
The final closing of the transaction is expected to take place in February 2024 and is only subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
