Contactless testing of the earthing resistance

With the Voltcraft EMZ-1000 measuring clamp, consisting of a voltage and a current coil, the loop resistance is measured simply by gripping the cable with the clamp jaws. This method can be used for measuring foundation and earth electrodes on construction sites as well as for systems or machines, sub-distribution boards, switch cabinets or equipotential bonding rails.

The Voltcraft EMZ-1000 offers a variety of practical functions for a smooth workflow: A self-luminous, four-digit LC display, which simultaneously displays resistance (0.010 - 1200 Ohm) and alternating current (0.00 mA - 20.0 A), ensures good legibility. If the display is not visible, the data hold function makes it easy to read the results. The portfolio also includes a measurement data memory for 300 measurements, the adjustable alarm function when limit values are exceeded and automatic switch-off when inactive. Despite the low purchase price, the EMZ-1000 enables precise earth resistance measurements. On the one hand due to the microprocessor control and on the other hand due to the integrated filter technology, which effectively minimizes measurement interference. The measuring clamp was developed for the CAT III 300 V and CAT IV 150 V safety ranges.
