Condition monitoring with FLIR

Current clamps and thermal imaging cameras are among the most important tools for condition-based maintenance of electrical installations. Thermography pioneer FLIR has combined both technologies - in the FLIR CM174 current clamp. With infrared guided measurement (IGM) technology powered by an integrated thermal imaging sensor, the CM174 provides a reliable way to detect hot spots and overloaded circuits from a safe distance. IGM visually guides the user to the exact location of a potential problem. https://www.flir.de/products/cm174/

Once a problem has been found using IGM and CM174, a high-resolution thermal imaging camera such as the FLIR T540 is used to determine the exact cause. It has a bright 4-inch LCD display and a lens platform that can be rotated through 180°. The measurement and analysis functions integrated directly into the camera, such as 1-touch level/span and laser-assisted autofocus, ensure accurate temperature measurements.
