Moves chocolate and hospital mattresses

Grasping, lifting, holding and turning are movement sequences in the manual handling of boxes, cartons, parcels, chocolate molds and hospital mattresses that are ergonomically relieved by Lift&Drive lifting devices from 3i.

In all industries, there are many processes in the production chain, some of which are unknown, until an item is ready for the consumer or the point of use. The different goods, in equally different sizes, geometries and weight classes, sometimes have to be moved manually. Ideally, this is done ergonomically with suitable lifting devices such as the modular Lift&Drive lifting device.

To produce sweet treats, for example, molds for chocolate stencils weighing 78 kilograms have to be lifted in and out of a machine several times a day for cleaning purposes. For years, this lifting work was carried out by two employees every day in an ergonomically unfavorable manner; with the Lift&Drive, this is now done effortlessly.

In hospitals, several dozen beds are cleaned every day and prepared for the next patient. To do this, the mattresses have to be placed in and removed from a mattress washer. Since they have been using the Lift&Drive with electric gripping and turning device for ergonomic mattress handling, there is no longer any strain on the user's entire body.

The ergonomic handling solutions, including the individually configurable lift, from 3i will also be on display at Fachpack. as
