Robot construction kit
FLT has developed a modular axis and gantry construction kit with which various sizes of highly dynamic gantry robots and axes can be realized. The LGR-3 is the first linear gantry robot to be fully assembled from this modular system.
It is designed for handling weights of up to 250 kilograms, handles strokes of up to around three meters and achieves a travel speed of up to 4.5 meters per second with an acceleration of up to six meters per square second. The new linear gantry robots combine the advantages of the previous FLT product series KL and LP and offer additional improvements. For example, the horizontal axis is equipped with a continuous dovetail guide. Attachment components or machine stands are simply inserted into this guide and can be freely positioned. There is no need for the high design effort involved in drilling fixing holes.
There is also no need for reworking in the event of changes, as the final positioning of the components can be carried out as required during assembly at the customer's premises. Subsequent integration of additional components is also possible. Gantry systems from FLT can be extended almost at will, as the horizontal axes are equipped with a head plate as an extension interface at the end of the axis. This allows the axis length to be adjusted and the gantry to be extended - from size LGR-3 up to more than 100 meters in total length. pb
