Festo expands its partner network
Festo is strengthening its dealer network with a new partner at its side. Dr. Baus, based in Viernheim, Germany, will expand Festo's large network of certified trading partners and reliably supply the mechanical and plant engineering sector with Festo's electrical, process automation and pneumatic automation technology in particular.
In addition to direct sales via sales engineers and the five regional Festo Experience Centers, qualified trading partners offer Festo automation technology. This makes it even easier for customers to obtain Festo products quickly and reliably, depending on their individual service level requirements. At Dr. Baus, the sales focus will be on Festo components for electrical automation technology and process automation.
Partnerships with more customer benefits
What has long been true for consumer goods markets has now also become established for capital goods: hybrid buyer behavior. "Hybrid" buyers purchase goods from different sources: For example, products that require explanation like to be purchased directly from the manufacturer, while standard products are procured in lean processes, for example according to the Kanban principle, via technical distributors. "Festo has picked up on this trend and, in addition to its direct sales with highly specialized sales engineers and five regional Festo Experience Centers, has set up a trading partner programme," explains Jörg Kipper, Managing Director of Festo Sales.
The technical trade partners are official partners of Festo in Germany. They all have qualified personnel, their own warehousing and can provide customers with a wide range of services - from Kanban delivery to advice on topics such as energy efficiency. Cooperation with dealers simplifies access to Festo, especially for customers with smaller order quantities. A local dealer network with expertise in technology and service, such as counter sales, is a real added value for many customers: "The qualified technical dealers are strong in providing individual advice and offer a broad product portfolio as well as flexible services," says Kipper.
