Certified security expertise
Further training for specialists to become security experts
With the "CESA - Certified Expert for Security in Automation" qualification, automation expert Pilz offers a two-day expert course designed to provide participants with compact security knowledge in line with the latest standards.
The increasing threat of cyber attacks not only jeopardizes the security of industrial environments, but also their productivity. In addition, normative and legal security requirements are presenting manufacturers, integrators and operators with new challenges. In order to build up the relevant knowledge in companies, Pilz is expanding its range of training courses with CESA, a compact training course for specialists to become security experts.
The training content covers the differences between the specific security requirements of operational technology (OT) and general information technology (IT) as well as the legal normative requirements. The focus here is on the IEC 62443 standard "Industrial communication networks - IT security for networks and systems" - from risk analysis to the secure operation of machines. This currently offers plant operators and device manufacturers the best orientation. Another focus is on the explanation of threat scenarios and possible defense strategies.
Two days on the security training bench
Over two days, the tried-and-tested trainers impart Pilz's safety and security know-how, which is based on practical experience and involvement in international standards committees. According to the provider, the training participants gain comprehensive specialist knowledge of legal principles and normative requirements. In addition, practical risk mitigation measures are covered, such as access control, increasing network security by technical means and organizational measures to reduce security risks.
Knowledge for practical implementation
The seminar is aimed at manufacturers, integrators and users of industrial automation systems as well as plant engineers, information security officers and project engineers. After successfully passing the exam, participants will have the normative expertise to implement technical and organizational security measures in an industrial environment. They receive the globally recognized TÜV NORD certificate as "CESA - Certified Expert for Security in Automation" and can thus prove that they have the knowledge to secure industrial automation systems according to modern cyber security standards.
