SLM Solutions: Bögershausen to leave the Management Board
Uwe Bögershausen, CFO and CEO of the SLM Solutions Group, has informed the Supervisory Board that he will not be available for an extension of his contract, which runs until June 2019.
"I did not take the decision lightly and ultimately made it for personal reasons. After the successful IPO in 2014, the placement of a convertible bond in 2017 and a total of more than five years on the Management Board of SLM Solutions Group AG, it is time to place my responsibilities in other hands and thus initiate a change. The Management Board has been broadened with Dr. Schulz and Dr. Heinemann, and I believe the company is well positioned for the future in terms of personnel. I am absolutely convinced of the promising future prospects of additive manufacturing and the opportunities that this offers SLM. SLM has put together a good team to take advantage of these opportunities," explains Uwe Bögershausen.
Hans-Joachim Ihde, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SLM Solutions Group: "We would like to thank Uwe Bögershausen for his loyalty to the company and his excellent work over the past five years. He has accompanied SLM Solutions with great commitment during an eventful phase characterized by strong growth. We respect his decision and wish him all the best. Uwe Bögershausen has assured us that he will continue to support the company's Management Board until summer 2019. The Supervisory Board will soon begin talks with potential candidates in order to complete the Management Board with a CEO."
